about

This concept began as an exploration into Indian art, architecture, painting, and surface traditions, not to replicate heritage, but to understand its underlying logic, restraint, and visual discipline. The intent was to study how Indian art communicates identity through detail rather than dominance.

The challenge was clear: how can a contemporary faucet remain globally modern, yet carry an Indian presence without becoming ornamental or nostalgic?

Instead of translating motifs directly onto the product, I approached the design as a dialogue between form and surface. The primary silhouette remains deliberately minimal and contemporary, allowing the product to belong seamlessly in modern spaces. Indian influence is introduced only at moments of touch and pause, where the user naturally engages with the object.

This project is an attempt to create a modern Indian contemporary language, where heritage is not applied, but embedded with intent, and where craftsmanship is respected through restraint rather than excess.
